The book without drawings is a hit.
The book is even discussed in "The world is running through." Wouter Cajot said that the book turns every adult into a stand-up comedy. Good marketing? Yes, that too. Writer BJ Novak is a well-known actor, scenario writer and stand-up comedian in the US. The hilarious video that has been put on Youtube, in which Novak read the book to a room of outspoken toddlers, shows a hit (see bottom of page). Meanwhile, a similar video has been made with Belgian cabaret Wim Helsen. The book has also been a success nowadays. The book has been in the list of best-selling children's books for weeks. It will also be a success in the Netherlands. And that is thanks to Sylvia Vanden Heede's handsome translation work.

But it's not just marketing why this book is a success. Although it's actually a simple story, it's also really funny (for kids) and the structure is very good. The typography and layout used are also excellent and support the story. Perhaps the power is also in simplicity. Everyone can invent this story and every child is going to smile when an adult crazy or naughty thing says ... .. But somebody must be the first and give a good example. Novak does that. Originality and marketing thus bring together success.

The title "the book without drawings" is by no means quite right. There are no drawings in the book. It's actually not a picture book. However, the book could be written under the print books by typography and formatting used. The target group is children from 3 years to a year or 8. The book must also be VERY PRESENTED. Something that may be seen as a big plus in this time. A book that stimulates to read. In fact, the book reads the reader to read everything that is available. Even words like "Blork" or "Bluurf" ...

The book certainly ensures guaranteed success in the lower classes of elementary school! Also at home your children will ask you to read the book again and again. Until you really got a blueberry pizza head ....
