Koeka is originally a Dutch clothing brand. It was founded in 1998 by Margareth de Haas and Jeannette Kraaijeveld. Margareth and Jeannette immediately had a clear vision of the designs. The products did not only have to be functional for the baby and the parents, they also had to match well with the interior. This is how the first Koeka collection came about, based on everything that has to do with sleeping and caring for babies and kids. From the start, the characteristic terry products, such as the teat cloth, the shawl with pouch and the chest of drawers with loose cloth, were part of the collection.
The pacifier cloth has a special meaning for Koeka. Years ago, Margaret's nephew was inseparable from his pacifier cloth, which he affectionately called "Koeka". It became the name of the company and was the inspiration for the first Koeka product: the flower-shaped pacifier with loop. A symbol for care factor of the collections. A very practical design because through the loop the teat can easily be attached to the cloth so that the teat does not get lost quickly.
Characteristic of Koeka's permanent collection is that it is 'never out of stock'. This means that these products are always in stock and can therefore be delivered quickly. This permanent collection is regularly expanded with new products and colors. In addition, Koeka designs an alternating summer and winter collection annually. Koeka still uses terry frequently for its basic collection. Waffles and canvas are also popular fabrics. A lot of flannel and teddy is used for the lining.
