The story of Wishbone Design Studio began in 2005 when Noah was 1 year old and Lulu was born.
They were four Kiwis, living in New York City .-- SPLIT-- Rich comes from a small town in New Zealand. Not really a city boy. He lived practically in Central Park for two years - he had little space and air.
The first Wishbone Bike was born to have his children taste what kind of childhood he had had. When we were small the grass was high, fresh air and the people were not always watching.
We ran where we wanted, reason for being dark and ended up laughing at the end of a crazy day.
Rich designed and made the first Wishbone Bike prototypes in their NY bathroom. Then he moved to a garage in Wellington, to the studio - which is actually a gifted old barn, crammed next to a bookbinder, a clothes seller and a windmill maker two houses.
After some prototypes, the wishbonebike arose from this. The wooden 3 in 1 walking bike. The design team has grown and from this point of departure, they have also developed the following products: The wisbonebike recycled: This is from recycled carpets The wisbone wagon: bolderkar, soap box and skelter at the same time.In addition, sustainability plays an important role. This is not only reflected in the beautiful design, quality and material of the bike, but also in support of projects for children. In 2012 they won the Junior Design Award for Best Eco Toy with their Wishbone Flip in Great Britain.
Until today, people buy the bike all over the world. This makes them very proud and happy!
