Scratch

Origin Scratch

Scratch is an authentic Belgian, and therefore European, brand. Originally started on a small scale around the turn of the century, Scratch gained momentum in 2012. Then Scratch was integrated under the wings of DAM. The close friendship between designer Etienne Ghilbert and businessman Jan Voorspoels resulted in a completely new Scratch collection. A strong product team went back to the drawing board and started over from "Scratch". This intense and fruitful collaboration between all team members translated into beautiful designs that always go hand in hand with safety. Over the years, Scratch has evolved into a lifestyle brand, using a variety of materials such as wood, cardboard, textiles, metal and plastics.

Safety

Scratch has entrusted the production to a network of carefully selected skilled craftsmen and producers. Each with their own specialty. It may surprise you, but some Scratch products still involve a lot of manual work, performed in small-scale workshops. Safety and quality checks are carried out on site by our own Scratch team, during various steps in the production process. Always in consultation with the headquarters in Belgium, from where product specialists also regularly travel to the production sites. Of course, every Scratch product meets or even exceeds European toy standards. Even in countries that have their own local safety standards, such as Japan, Israel, South Korea, the United States, to name a few, Scratch products are laboratory tested before they are put on the market. From design to production: safety and quality always come first. Scratch toys can be trusted to your little sprouts with confidence.

play & learn

Each product is age-appropriate with a focus on developing certain skills. This can range from working on fine motor skills, making connections, recognizing colors and shapes to building, drawing, walking and cycling. Every child plays in their own creative way, and Scratch likes to take them on an adventure! The Scratch Play&Learn symbol is displayed on almost all products.
