Origin Signed by sister
Signed by sister has been around since the end of 2019 and originated from Rixt-Marieke's love for drawing and
dream to make people happy with her illustrations. Gradually we discovered that Bas's passion lies in the
entrepreneurship and soon Getekenddoorzusje became a shared dream and undertaking. Rixt-Marieke and Bas are colleagues, in love and engaged. They live in Leeuwarden in a 1930s house. Their love for things with a story is reflected in their interior. As a teacher, Rixt-Marieke is always connected with
children. Bas graduated from the Academy of Pop Culture. They love to learn, discover and develop and try to create every day.
Rixt-Marieke's sister always said she would do something with drawing later on. That's why she came up with the name Getekenddoorzusje, which is why I think it's extra special. Moreover, the name fits well with her drawing style.
The cards and posters are printed with care by local printers. They try on
a sustainable way to support the smaller entrepreneurs. People who like her with
passionate about their products. The cards are packed in sustainable eco packaging? The covers are made from plants. They are clear, strong and compostable. The transparent covers can therefore simply be placed in the green container after use.
The cards are standard packed with a kraft envelope. Kraft is a sturdy paper with a natural look. Moreover, they are completely recyclable. The cards are printed on FSC certified paper with a beautiful, subtle structure. The structure can best be described as 'created'. This created structure gives the paper a traditional look. It is an uncoated paper. This means that there is no coating applied to the paper. The paper feels rough and has a matte appearance.
Writing on uncoated paper is good, so we can all write beautiful personal messages on the Getekenddoorzusje cards.
